TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This document establishes the Terms and conditions of use of the BIOMAS platform and database, accessible through the website www.biomasweb.com.
1. CONDITIONS OF USE
These Terms and Conditions regulate access to and use of BIOMAS, of its platforms BIOiD, BIOPRO and BIOSHOP, as well as any information derived from them. These terms are mandatory and binding in nature.
1.1. Acceptance of the Terms
By using the platform, the user accepts:
- To use the information provided on the website in accordance with the BIOMAS Privacy Policy.
- To have read and understood the terms established herein.
Should the user disagree with these terms, they must refrain from using the services offered by the platform or stop using it immediately. Any breach of these conditions will result in the removal of the user from the website.
1.2. Modifications of the Terms
By using the platform, the user accepts:
Continued use of the platform after the publication of such modifications shall imply the user's acceptance of the new terms.
1.3. Scope of the agreement
These terms constitute the entire agreement between BIOMAS and the user. There are no additional pacts, covenants or representations, whether oral, written or of any other kind, except as expressly established in this document.
1.4. User declarations
By using the platform, the user declares and warrants the following:
- That they have the legal capacity to comply with all the conditions of use established.
- That the information provided will be complete, truthful, up to date and accurate.
- That the use of the platform is for personal purposes and not for illegal purposes.
- That they assume all the obligations described in this document.
2. CONDITIONS OF ACCESS
To use the BIOMAS platform, it is necessary to register at www.biomasweb.com and maintain an active user account. Registration is carried out through an email address and a personal password.
2.1. User registration
To obtain a user account, the applicant must be over 18 years of age. Once registered, they will be able to access the “Add pet” function and obtain their digital card, for Responsible Ownership purposes.
2.2. Responsibilities of the registered user
The user registered on the platform is responsible for:
- The truthfulness, updating, accuracy and completeness of the data provided.
- Keeping their account information truthful, accurate, complete and up to date.
Failure to comply with these obligations will result in the impossibility of accessing or using the services offered by the platform. Likewise, the user will be responsible for all activity that occurs in their account.
3. SERVICES OFFERED BY THE PLATFORM
BIOMAS, through its website www.biomasweb.com, offers three main platforms: BIOiD, BIOPRO and BIOSHOP. The services available in each of them are described below.
3.1. BIOiD: International Animal Identification Service
BIOiD is a platform designed to support the registry enrollment of companion animals and to associate them with their responsible guardians, with the aim of promoting responsible ownership. The main services include:
- Documents for pets (certificates, cards, passports)
- Life histories of pets (Clinical history, My pet's diary)
- Preventive medicine calendars
- Mass dissemination posters to promote animal welfare
- Association with animal health professionals
- Notifications via email
- A Community where guardians, protectors and professionals interact
3.1.1. About the iD (Pet identification)
A pet's identity number (iD) allows it to be integrated into society, which facilitates its care, protection and responsible ownership. The iD is used for:
- Responsible ownership: In cases of accidents or losses.
- Animal health: Association of vaccination and health certificates to the pet's iD.
- Travel: Issuance of a Health Passport.
- Loyalty program: Access to a Very Important Pet (VIP) Card.
- Thefts: Issuance of a Pet Card and a Guardian Certificate.
A pet's iD can be of two types: a physical microchip number (ISO 11784/11785) or an alphanumeric code automatically assigned upon enrolling the pet in the platform.
If a pet initially registered with a BIOMAS iD subsequently receives a microchip, the guardian or an assigned professional can edit its profile to incorporate the new identifier. After the changes are approved, the system will update the Pet Card and the Guardian Certificate with the new identity number. These updated documents, in digital format and free of charge, will be available for generation in 'My documents > Current'.
3.1.2. Search bar in BIOiD
By entering a pet's iD in the search bar on the BIOiD main page, you access the registry information that links the pet with its responsible guardian. This service is only available if the pet is enrolled and approved in the BIOMAS Community.
3.1.3. About the Community
The BIOiD Community is a space where the pets enrolled in the platform come together. It works as a social and communication network that allows creating bonds between guardians, sharing information and fostering friendly ties in pursuit of animal welfare.
3.1.3.1. Approval Process in the Community
- When a pet is enrolled for the first time, it is not published directly in the Community. It must go through a review and approval process by the BIOMAS team.
- Once approved, the guardian will receive an email with the Pet Card and the acceptance notification.
- In the user's profile, in the pet section, the options for status change, profile editing and VIP access will be enabled.
3.1.3.2. Editing the pet's profile
The pet's profile can only be edited once the pet is approved in the Community:
- When an edit is made to the pet's profile, the new information goes to “Change approval” and cannot be modified again until the BIOMAS team reviews it.
- The approval process may take longer than usual, as we work to preserve the integrity of the registry information.
3.1.3.3. Document Updating
Once the pet is approved in the Community, the following documents are released in the “My documents > Current” section:
- Guardian Certificate
- Pet Card
When changes to a pet's profile are approved, the new information updates the Guardian Certificate and the Pet Card, while the previous document is archived in “My documents > Historical”.
While the pet's new information has not been approved, the previous registry information will be displayed.
It is the user's responsibility to generate these documents through the download button, as they are generated on demand.
When the user makes modifications to their profile information (first and last name, location, address, email, phone number), they must also manually update this data in the profiles of the registered pets. In this way, once the changes to the pet's profile are approved, the Pet Card and the Guardian Certificate will be available to be generated in the updated version.
3.1.4. About the statuses
A pet's status is a category that describes the pet's current condition on the platform. This classification helps users quickly understand the condition and needs of each pet, facilitating interaction and decision-making. There are six statuses: Happy, Adoption, Mate, Lost, Transfer, RIP.
3.1.4.1. Description of the statuses
Happy: This pet is cheerful and healthy.
Adoption: This pet is looking for a new home.
Transfer: Available to find a home through a responsible sale.
Mate: This pet is looking for a mate to reproduce.
Lost: This pet is lost.
RIP: This pet has passed away and is no longer part of the Community.
3.1.4.2. Characteristics of the statuses
- The statuses are mutually exclusive.
- When a pet is enrolled, once approved in the Community, it is automatically set to the “Happy” status.
3.1.5. About the posters
Posters are visual tools generated by the user to disseminate relevant information about the pet according to its current status (Adoption, Mate or Lost). Upon updating the status to any of these options, the system will require the creation of a poster in PNG format to complete the process.
3.1.5.1. Creation of posters
- The user must complete a form with the information that will appear on the poster.
- The system will not allow users to change the pet's status until the poster is generated.
- The user may edit the last generated poster at any time, from the “Life history > My pet's diary” section.
3.1.5.2. Use and dissemination
- The posters may be printed and shared on social media.
- The public information included in the poster is the exclusive responsibility of the user who generates it. BIOMAS is not responsible for its truthfulness or updating.
3.1.5.3. Restrictions
- It is prohibited to use the posters for commercial or illegal purposes.
- The base design of the poster may not be altered.
3.1.6. About BIOiD Services
BIOMAS offers identification, documentation and subscription plan services through BIOiD, under the following conditions:
3.1.6.1. Certificates
- Guardian Certificate: Free digital document that accredits the legal bond between the guardian and their pet. It is released automatically when the pet's profile is approved in the Community and is available in “My documents > Current”.
- Microchip implantation certificate: Digital document issued by BIOPRO veterinarians that certifies the pet's unique identity through the microchip number.
- Rabies vaccination certificate: Digital document issued by BIOPRO veterinarians that accredits the pet's rabies vaccination. Its validity is 1 year, starting 30 days after the application of the vaccine. Upon the issuance of this certificate, the user automatically receives the Rabies Vaccination Card, available in “My documents > Current”.
- Veterinary health certificate: Digital document issued by BIOPRO veterinarians that certifies the pet's current health status, following a clinical inspection. The certificate confirms that the pet is fit to carry out physical and physiological activities proper to its species. It is useful for traveling to any destination, whether national or international, as well as for reproductive purposes, competitions and any other situation that requires certifying its health status. It has a validity of 10 days from its issuance.
3.1.6.2. Cards
- Pet Card: Document that accredits the pet's registry identity, including species, breed, color, sex, date of birth and guardian data (name, address and phone). It is generated automatically when the pet's profile is approved in the Community and is available in free digital format in “My documents > Current”. It can also be acquired in physical version through purchase.
- Guardian Card: Document that links the guardian's biometric data with that of their pet, reinforcing the bond of responsible ownership. It can be acquired through direct purchase or through the purchase of a Premium User plan. It requires the guardian's identity number and prior approval of their profile photo by BIOMAS.
- Very Important Pet (VIP) Card: Document that grants the pet special recognition in the BIOMAS Community and access to loyalty programs at associated veterinary clinics, pet shops and grooming salons. It can be acquired through direct purchase or through the purchase of the Premium User and Very Important Pet (VIP) plans. Discounts and benefits depend on the terms of each establishment, with no guarantee from BIOMAS.
- Rabies vaccination card: Document that supports the pet's rabies vaccination with a validity of one year. It is generated free of charge when the Rabies Vaccination Certificate is issued by a BIOPRO veterinarian, and is available in “My documents > Current”. In addition, it can be acquired in high-quality digital version or physical version through purchase.
3.1.6.3. Passports
- Health Passport: Document issued for international travel, available exclusively in physical format. It includes a unique QR code, which links the pet's registry information with its responsible guardian, in addition to biometric data for validation at borders. It contains the pet's preventive medicine history (vaccinations and dewormings), required by health authorities. For its issuance, the guardian's passport number is required. It can be acquired through purchase.
3.1.6.4. Identification and location tools
- Microchip: Electronic animal identification device, compatible with international standards (ISO 11784/11785). Its implantation must be carried out by a certified veterinarian. BIOMAS assumes no responsibility for incorrect procedures or medical complications arising therefrom.
- iD Tag: Animal identification tool, which includes a QR code linked to the pet's public data in the Community. The user must keep the contact information in BIOiD up to date to guarantee its functionality.
- GPS: Real-time location device. It works through connection to mobile or satellite networks managed by external providers, which allows tracking the pet's location through a phone call or a linked application. BIOMAS does not guarantee the coverage, accuracy or continuity of the service, as it depends on third parties. The user must ensure the periodic charging of the device and the renewal of external subscriptions, if applicable.
3.1.6.5. Subscription plans
- Premium User Plans: They provide access to the Very Important Pet (VIP) Card, the Guardian Card and the editing of the Life history of all pets associated with the user's profile. They have a specific duration and require renewal.
- Very Important Pet (VIP) Plans: Aimed at pets. They grant positioning in the Community and access to the VIP Card. They have a specific duration and require renewal.
- +Pets Plans: They allow the user to register an unlimited number of pets in their profile. They are lifetime plans, so they have no expiration date and do not require renewal.
3.1.6.6. Limitation of liability
- The cards, certificates and passports issued in BIOiD reflect only the information provided by users or professionals. BIOMAS is not responsible for the medical, legal or technical updating and accuracy of such data.

- The acceptance of these documents by authorities depends on external regulations. BIOMAS does not guarantee their universal validity.
3.1.7. About the user profile
The user profile is the basis for guaranteeing the integrity of the registry information of the associated pets. Its correct management is essential for the operation of the platform.
3.1.7.1. Truthfulness of the information
- The data provided by the user (name, address, phone, etc.) must be accurate and up to date, as they are used in the issuance of certificates, cards and passports.
- Inaccurate or outdated information could invalidate legal documents or hinder responsible ownership.
3.1.7.2. Profile updating
It is the user's responsibility to keep their personal and contact information up to date (first and last name, location, address, email and phone number). Likewise, they must manually update this data in the profiles of the registered pets after any modification to their user profile, in order to ensure the truthfulness, accuracy and validity of the information contained in the documents generated by the platform. BIOMAS is not responsible for errors, omissions or outdated information that may be reflected in the documents generated from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the user. The accuracy of such documents depends directly on the information recorded in the system.
3.1.7.3. Password
Access to BIOiD is protected through a password authentication system. The user assumes the responsibility of creating a strong password, avoiding obvious combinations or easily deducible information. The password is for personal and confidential use: it is prohibited to share it with third parties, including family members or related professionals. BIOMAS recommends updating the password periodically to prevent unauthorized access. In case of forgetting it, the user can reset it through a temporary link sent to their registered email.
3.1.7.4. Profile photo
The user's profile photo requires prior approval by the BIOMAS team, as it appears on the Guardian Card. It must comply with the platform's standards: visible face, neutral background and no elements that obstruct identification.
3.1.7.5. Contact information
The contact information is reviewed by the BIOMAS team and requires approval. If the user modifies this data, it will appear highlighted in red until it is approved. During the approval process, the generated documents will display the previous registry information.
3.1.7.6. Pet registration
- Upon creating an account, the user can register up to five pets free of charge. Through the “+ Pets” plans it is possible to add an unlimited number of pets.
- The user can register pets belonging to family members or friends and appear as a co-guardian. Also, whenever they wish, they may transfer the guardianship of these pets to another user.
3.1.7.7. User orders
The “Orders” section groups all the purchase orders linked to the user's pets. The order number, date, status (pending, completed or cancelled) and the list of services or plans acquired are detailed.
3.1.7.8. Access from the profile
Through the personal profile, the user can access:
- “My listings”: Allows access to the management of listings on the BIOSHOP platform (currently in development).
- “My professional profile”: Directs users registered as professionals to the BIOPRO user profile, from where they can offer services and manage appointments.
3.1.7.9. Uses of the profile
The user profile in BIOMAS allows comprehensively managing the welfare and identity of the pets:
- Accredit responsible ownership through the linking of pets to their guardian, which facilitates their identification in cases of accidents, losses or thefts, through the unique iD.
- Manage animal health through the association of health certificates to the pet's iD.
- Simplify travel with the generation of the “ Health Passport”.
- Access exclusive benefits such as discounts at associated establishments through the “VIP Card”. In addition, this grants priority positioning in the BIOMAS Community.
3.1.8. About the pet's profile
The pet's profile contains essential information for its identification and management within the platform. Its correct configuration is fundamental to guarantee responsible ownership.
3.1.8.1. Profile photo
The pet's profile photo must be sharp (greater than 100 KB) and in portrait format. It must comply with the platform's standards: visible face, neutral background and no accessories are allowed (hats, glasses, etc.) or other elements that hinder the animal's identification. Photos that do not meet these requirements will prevent the pet's approval in the Community.
3.1.8.2. Registry information
The information provided by the user (species, breed, color, sex, date of birth) is the exclusive responsibility of the user.
3.1.8.3. Responsibilities and scope of BIOMAS
BIOMAS acts as an informative and interactive tool to facilitate communication and access to the data provided by users. The platform does not have a supervisory nature nor does it assume responsibility for:
- False or misrepresented information provided by the guardian.
- Improper use of the data for purposes contrary to its mission.
In cases of misuse or illegalities, it is up to the BIOMAS team and the competent authorities to take the corresponding legal actions.
3.1.9. About the Life history
The “Life history” is a comprehensive record that allows documenting and accessing essential information about the pet's welfare and health. This section is fundamental to guarantee follow-up, transparency and continuity in its care, both by the guardian and by the assigned professionals.
3.1.9.1. My pet's diary
- It allows recording relevant events in the pet's life, such as health activities, behavior, feeding, grooming, among others.
- Premium users can add entries to the diary, accompanied by photos and videos, whose truthfulness and content are the exclusive responsibility of the guardian.
- The Premium professionals assigned to the pet can also contribute with annotations in this section.
- Automatic events recorded: approval of the pet in the Community, status changes, generation of posters, change of guardian.
- All the information in “My pet's diary” can be downloaded in PDF in compiled format.
3.1.9.2. Registry information
- Accessible to professionals with a veterinary role assigned to the pet.
- The user can view the clinical histories, but not edit them.
- Veterinarians can create, modify or delete clinical records through a specialized form. Modifications can only be made by the veterinarian who created the record.
- Each clinical record can be downloaded independently and the complete clinical history is also available for download.
3.1.10. About My documents
This section centralizes all the documents associated with the pet and its guardian, facilitating their management and access. The information contained in the documents reflects the data provided by the user, who is responsible for its truthfulness and updating.
3.1.10.1. Current documents
These are the current documents associated with a pet. They are generated on the user's demand, so, to keep them up to date, the guardian must regenerate them, through the download button, after any modification to the pet's profile. Each document includes an expiration date that indicates its validity. If it is not updated, the document will be inconsistent.
3.1.10.2. Historical documents
They store all the previous versions of the documents, including those that are still current, for example, valid Rabies vaccination certificates, outdated versions of the Pet Card, etc. The user can access the historical documents at any time, but their validity will depend on the issuance date and subsequent updates.
3.1.11. About Preventive medicine
The Preventive medicine Calendar is an informative tool designed to support the guardians of dogs and cats in planning the dewormings and vaccinations of their pets. This resource does not replace the indications, diagnoses or treatments provided by a veterinarian.
3.1.11.1. Operation of the calendar
- It allows users to modify the dates of last deworming and vaccination.
- Upon updating a date, the system automatically recalculates the next preventive event according to standard intervals.
- The user will receive reminders of upcoming preventive events via email (optional in the pet's profile settings).
3.1.11.2. Responsibilities and considerations
- The information entered is the exclusive responsibility of the guardian and the assigned professionals. BIOMAS does not verify its accuracy or validity.
- The reminders generated by the calendar are suggestions to maintain an adequate preventive medicine plan; however, they do not constitute medical prescriptions.
3.1.11.3. Recommendation
Consult regularly with a veterinarian to validate that the schedule fits the specific needs of the pet.
3.1.12. About Orders associated with the pet
This section records the purchase orders associated with a pet. The orders remain linked to the profile to facilitate the tracking of purchases related to its care. The stored information includes: order number, order status (pending, completed, cancelled), services or plans acquired and the total amount of the order.
3.1.13. About the Change of guardian
This tool allows transferring the guardianship of a pet to another user, which guarantees the continuity of its registration and responsible ownership.
3.1.13.1. Requirements for the change
- The pet must have been approved in the Community and have no changes pending approval.
- The guardian who receives it must have an updated profile and no changes pending approval.
3.1.13.2. Historical documents
The new guardian does not access the complete history of historical documents. They receive in the “Historical documents” section only the latest versions current at the time of the transfer.
3.1.13.3. Life history
- It remains accessible for the new guardian, but entries prior to the change cannot be edited.
3.1.13.4. Very Important Pet (VIP) Condition
- Pet with a Very Important Pet (VIP) plan:
- - It retains the VIP status for the validity period of the plan.
- Pet without a Very Important Pet (VIP) plan:
- - If the new guardian is Premium, the pet acquires VIP status for the validity of the guardian's plan.
- - If the new guardian is not Premium, the pet loses the VIP status if it had been acquired through the Premium condition of the previous guardian.
- - If both guardians are Premium, the pet retains the VIP status for the validity period of the new guardian's plan.
3.1.13.5. Procedure

3.1.14. About the QR Code
The QR Code allows quick access to the pet's public information in the BIOMAS Community. Its main function is to facilitate the identification and responsible ownership of the animal.
3.1.14.1. Uses of the QR Code
- Upon scanning it, you directly access the pet's public information in the Community, where the following is displayed:
- - Public registry data of the pet (name, species, breed)
- - Contact information authorized by the guardian
- - Current status of the pet
- It is used in the iD Tag (available to be acquired in the “Services” section).
- BIOMAS makes available to veterinary clinics, pet shops, daycare centers, pet clubs, associations and protection societies the possibility of scanning these QR codes to facilitate quick access to the pet's information.
3.1.14.2. Responsibility
- The information displayed when scanning the QR code depends exclusively on the public data provided and authorized by the guardian.
- The guardian is responsible for keeping their pet's information up to date to ensure the effectiveness of the QR code.
- BIOMAS is not responsible for the truthfulness and updating of the information linked to the QR code.
- BIOMAS assumes no responsibility for the misuse of the data obtained through this system.
3.1.15. About the co-guardians
BIOiD facilitates “co-guardianship” to promote responsible ownership and adapt to the dynamics of shared pet care. A pet can have multiple co-guardians, ideal for families or animal protection associations that share its care. In addition, a user registered in BIOMAS can enroll a pet in the name of a person not registered on the platform. In this case:
- The person without an account will be automatically designated as the principal guardian.
- The registered user who carries out the enrollment will be left as a co-guardian.
3.1.15.1. Access to cards
- The user who carries out the enrollment can generate and download free of charge the Pet Card in the name of the co-guardians.
- The co-guardians can also access the Very Important Pet (VIP) cards of the associated pet.
3.1.15.2. Responsibility
- The figure of the co-guardian does not exempt the principal guardian from their legal responsibilities. BIOMAS acts exclusively as a registry platform.
- The truthfulness and updating of the co-guardian's registry data are the exclusive responsibility of the user who enrolls the pet.
3.1.16. About the assigned professionals
The assignment of BIOPRO professionals aims to facilitate the comprehensive care of pets and strengthen the mechanisms of responsible ownership.
3.1.16.1. Access
The assigned professionals obtain access to:
- Viewing of the pet's profile.
- Limited editing of the microchip number (assigned Premium Professionals).
- Approval of changes to the pet's registry information (assigned Premium Professionals).
- Issuance of documents relevant to their area of specialization.
- Editing of “My pet's diary” (assigned Premium Professionals).
- Editing of the Clinical history (assigned veterinarians).
- Status change to Happy, Mate, Lost, RIP (assigned Professionals).
- Generation of Mate and Lost posters (assigned Professionals).
- Editing of the dates of last deworming and vaccination (assigned veterinarians).
- Generation of the QR Code associated with the pet.
3.1.17. Scope of BIOMAS
- BIOMAS facilitates the connection between guardians and professionals, but does not intervene in the quality of the services provided nor in the possible conflicts that may arise from the guardian-professional relationship.
- The information shared with professionals is the exclusive responsibility of the guardian.
3.1.18. About the digital signature verification (eID)
The BIOiD platform integrates the eID functionality, a system designed to validate the authenticity of digital certificates issued by BIOPRO professionals.
3.1.18.1. Verification process
To validate a document, the user must drag the PDF file to the “Verify BIOiD eID” section. The system will analyze the unique barcode corresponding to the professional's digital signature.
3.1.18.2. Scope and limitations
The eID verification only confirms the technical integrity of the document, that is, that it corresponds to an original version issued through BIOPRO. It does not validate:
3.1.18.3. Responsibilities
- It is the guardian's responsibility to verify the authenticity of the documents before using them for legal purposes, travel or treatments. BIOMAS will not be responsible for consequences arising from unverified or altered documents.
- Any external manipulation of the digital signature will be considered fraud.
- If a document does not pass the eID verification, the user must ensure that the file has not been edited or damaged after its download and report the incident to the BIOMAS team.
3.2. BIOPRO: International network of flora and fauna specialists
BIOPRO is the first international network of flora and fauna specialists, designed so that users can access, hire or request professional services in areas such as animal health and welfare, care of plant species, environmental conservation, among others. Through this platform, professionals can make their curriculum, skills and services known, which facilitates a direct connection with the interested public.
The platform includes an appointment system in different modalities (in-person, online and at-home), which adapts to the growing needs of users seeking personalized attention.
BIOPRO has assignments, a tool aimed at professionals dedicated to animal health and care, which allows creating bonds between them and the pets registered in BIOiD. This functionality makes it possible to provide personalized follow-up and access to specific tools to guarantee animal welfare, in line with the principles of responsible ownership promoted by BIOMAS.
3.2.1. About the request for appointments
The BIOPRO platform allows users to request professional services in three modalities: in-person, at-home and online.
3.2.1.1. Main search engine
Accessible from the BIOPRO main page, it allows filtering professionals by:
- Profession: Area of specialization
- Country: Geographic location of the professional
- Appointment modality: In-person, at-home or online
3.2.1.2. Modalities of attention
- In-person: It is carried out at the professional's physical location (clinics, offices, etc.).
- At-home:
- - It requires express confirmation from the professional before being scheduled.
- - The professional travels to the location indicated by the user.
- Online: Virtual consultations through call, video call or real-time chat.
3.2.1.3. Cancellation and rescheduling
Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled by the user or the professional. Rescheduling must be carried out at least 24 hours in advance so as not to affect the professional's schedule availability. Cancellations outside this period may incur penalties according to the professional's policies.
3.2.1.4. Email notifications
The user will receive an email when:
- An appointment is successfully scheduled.
- An at-home appointment is confirmed by the professional.
- An appointment is rescheduled or cancelled.
3.2.1.5. Responsibility
- Professionals must update their availability in real time.
- Users must respect the cancellation policies established by each professional.

- The appointment bond between professional and user is an agreement between the parties. BIOMAS is not responsible for any breach.
3.2.2. About the professional's profile
BIOMAS reviews the data provided by professionals in BIOPRO to guarantee transparency and reliability; however, it does not act as a supervisory entity. The truthfulness of the information is the exclusive responsibility of the professional. In cases of misuse (misrepresentation of data, false documents or improper use of the platform), BIOMAS reserves the right to delete the professional's profile, report the case to the competent authorities and revoke all previous guarantees, purchases or assignments, with no right to reinstatement.
3.2.2.1. Password and use of profile data
Access to BIOPRO is protected through a password authentication system. The professional is responsible for creating a strong password, avoiding obvious combinations or easily deducible personal information. This password is for exclusive and confidential use: it is strictly prohibited to share it with third parties, including assistants or colleagues. BIOMAS recommends updating the password periodically to prevent unauthorized access. In case of forgetting it, the professional can reset it through a temporary link sent to their registered email.
The professional assumes responsibility for all activity carried out in their account, including the issuance of medical certificates, modifications to clinical histories or interactions with guardians. They must immediately notify BIOMAS if they suspect that their account has been compromised. Any fraudulent use, such as identity impersonation or data manipulation, will entail the permanent suspension of the account and legal actions.
3.2.2.2. Professional registration number
- It is mandatory for the creation of profiles of animal health professionals.
- The professional must provide their professional registration number, but may choose whether it is displayed publicly or privately on their profile.
- This information is required to obtain the Professional Identification Card (available through purchase in the “Services” section of BIOPRO).
BIOMAS is not responsible for the illegal practice of the profession or damages arising from false or outdated information.
3.2.2.3. Professional orders
The “Orders” section groups all the orders linked to the professional. The order number, date, status (pending, completed or cancelled), the list of services or plans acquired and the total amount of the order are detailed.
3.2.2.4. Access to information
Professionals can access the complete information of the assigned pets, including:
- Profiles (registry data, photos, current statuses)
- Guardian information (authorized contact, address)
- Life history (clinical information, behaviors, feeding, etc)
- Documents (certificates and cards related to their area of specialization)
- Posters
3.2.2.5. Access to information

3.2.3. About Statistics
BIOPRO provides professionals with access to a statistics panel with pictograms and interactive charts that allow analyzing the data of the assigned pets:
- View demographic trends (distribution by species, age, breed).
- Generate reports for clinical follow-up or research projects.
- Export data for external use.
3.2.3.1. Limitations of the statistics
- The results are based on the information provided by the guardians.
- The conclusions derived from these analyses are the exclusive responsibility of the professional.
3.2.4. About the management of the Community by Premium Professionals
BIOPRO Premium Professionals have specific powers to modify and approve pet information in the BIOiD Community. These functions are exercised under the following conditions:
3.2.4.1. Approval of pending changes
Premium Professionals can approve any pending modification to the profiles of the assigned pets. This process requires the professional to verify the coherence and legality of the information before authorizing it. The Premium Professional must corroborate that the change does not contradict the platform's policies.
3.2.4.2. Editing of the Identity number (Microchip)
Premium Professionals have limited access to edit the microchip number of the assigned pets, without the intervention of the BIOMAS team. To do so, they must:
- Physically corroborate the animal's microchip before updating the registry.
- Record the modification in the pet's form.
This power does not extend to other fields of the profile, the editing of which is reserved for the guardian.
3.2.4.3. Restrictions and duties
Premium Professionals cannot approve changes that infringe BIOMAS policies, such as the inclusion of false data, inappropriate photos or information that promotes illegal practices.
3.2.4.4. Consequences for misuse
Failure to comply with these rules entails sanctions, which include:
- Suspension of Premium status and removal of active assignments.
- Report to competent authorities.
3.2.5. About the digital signature and the issuance of certificates
BIOPRO Premium professionals can issue digital certificates linked to their area of specialization, backed by unique barcodes.
3.2.5.1. Characteristics of the digital certificates
- Certificates are documents that accredit procedures or professional services provided.
- They have a unique barcode that links the certificate to the professional's profile and allows validating the authenticity of the document through the “eID Verification” functionality.
- Certificates can only be issued in fields related to the professional's registered specialization.
- They include the professional's digital signature, the issuance date and data of the associated pet or service.
3.2.5.2. Responsibilities of the Premium Professional
- Ensure that the information contained in the certificate is accurate and verifiable.
- Issue certificates only for procedures carried out personally or under their direct supervision.
- Protect access to their digital signature to avoid fraudulent use.
3.2.5.3. Scope of BIOMAS
- The platform validates the digital signature, but does not verify the content of the certificate.
- The responsibility for the accuracy of the information rests exclusively with the professional.
3.2.6. BIOPRO Services
BIOMAS offers documentation and subscription plan services through BIOPRO under the following conditions:
3.2.6.1. Documents
- Professional Identification Card: It is a document issued by BIOMAS that accredits professional identity. To obtain it, the professional must provide their current professional registration number and verifiable academic documentation, which will be reviewed by the BIOMAS team. This document, available through purchase in digital and physical format, includes a QR code linked to the professional's public profile and serves as credential. It does not replace the licenses or permits required by local or international health authorities. BIOMAS reserves the right to revoke the card if false data or suspension of the professional license by the competent authorities is detected.
3.2.6.2. Subscription plans
- Premium Professional Plans: They allow professionals to access advanced functionalities linked to the pet's profile in BIOiD: editing of “My pet's diary” and issuance of certificates with digital signature. In addition, they expand the limit of assigned pets and provide a personalized Professional Identification Card. It has a specific duration and requires renewal.
- + Assignments Plans: They allow obtaining an unlimited number of assignments. They are lifetime plans, so they have no expiration date and do not require renewal.
3.2.7. About the assignments
This functionality allows BIOPRO professionals to link with pets to provide personalized follow-up, which contributes to animal welfare through comprehensive access to their profile and direct communication with the guardians.
3.2.7.1. Initial assignment and expansion
Professionals can assign themselves pets if they know their unique iD, with an initial limit of 20 pets. To manage a larger number, they can acquire the “+ Assignments” plan, available in the “Services” section of BIOPRO.
3.2.7.2. Assignment requests
BIOiD users can request that a professional assign themselves their pet. The process includes the following steps:
1. Sending the request from BIOPRO.
2. Review and decision (accept/reject) by the professional.
3. Automatic linking of the pet to the professional's profile, if accepted.
3.2.7.3. Unassignment
Professionals can unlink from a pet at any time, which removes their access to the profile. The documents issued remain in the pet's profile.
3.2.7.4. Responsibilities
- Professionals must use the information exclusively for authorized purposes and maintain clear communication with the guardians.
- Users must respect the professional's autonomy to accept or reject requests.
- Professionals must have the guardian's consent to assign themselves a pet.
BIOMAS does not intervene in disagreements arising from the assignment or unassignment of pets.
3.2.8. About the Life history (Use by BIOPRO professionals)
Professionals in BIOPRO can contribute to the “Life history” of the assigned pets, facilitating multidisciplinary collaboration and comprehensive follow-up of their welfare. This tool allows the interconnection between professionals, who can consult the observations of other colleagues, promoting a collaborative approach.
3.2.8.1. Access and functions
- Premium professionals can write and edit entries in the “My pet's diary” section, where relevant information about behavior, feeding, grooming and other events is recorded.
- On the other hand, the assigned veterinarians have the exclusive power to create and update the clinical records that make up the Clinical History.
3.2.8.2. Limitations
The clinical records can only be modified by the veterinarian who created them. The platform does not allow the deletion or editing of entries created by other professionals.
3.2.9. About Experience
This section allows professionals to display their credentials, track record and additional resources to strengthen trust with users. The available components are detailed below:
3.2.9.1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Professionals can publish their CV on the BIOPRO profile, including academic education, work experience, certifications and relevant skills. This document is publicly accessible and must be updated periodically to reflect recent achievements.
3.2.9.2. Languages
Professionals can list the languages they master, facilitating the connection with guardians who require services in specific languages.
3.2.9.3. Gallery
Space to upload images related to the professional's work: examples of procedures (without sensitive data), educational material and infographics.
3.2.9.4. Diploma
Professionals can attach documents or images that support their specialization diplomas.
3.2.9.5. Website and social media
It is possible to link links to:
- Professional websites or blogs
- Social media profiles
These links must be active and aligned with the services offered in BIOMAS.
3.2.9.6. Responsibilities of the professional
- Guarantee that all the information published (CV, diplomas, links) is truthful and up to date.
- Respect the privacy of guardians and pets in the gallery images.
- Avoid unauthorized promotional or commercial content in external links.
3.2.9.7. Limitations
- The platform does not constitute a supervisory body for the authenticity of the documents, links or social media published.
- It reserves the right to remove content that infringes its policies or is reported as misleading.
3.2.10. About Ratings and opinions of experts
BIOPRO allows users to rate professionals through a scoring system that influences their positioning on the platform. The best-rated professionals appear in the first positions of the searches, which fosters the quality and competitiveness of the service.
3.2.10.1. Rating mechanisms
- Users can assign a score from 1 to 5 and write opinions about the service received.
- Professionals can delete negative opinions if they consider that they do not reflect the reality of the service. However, these opinions are recorded internally in BIOMAS and may be reviewed in cases of legal disputes or investigations.
- The deletion of an opinion does not restore the professional's original score.
3.2.10.2. Responsibilities
- The opinions published are the exclusive responsibility of the person who issues them. BIOMAS does not validate them nor is it responsible for their truthfulness.
- Users accept that their comments must be based on real experiences and respect the platform's rules of conduct. Any defamatory, false opinion or one with inappropriate language may be reported and removed.
- By using BIOPRO, users and professionals accept that the opinions issued may affect prestige and assume all legal responsibility for the damages or harm that these may cause.
3.2.10.3. Scope of BIOMAS
- The platform acts as an intermediary and does not intervene in disagreements arising from opinions or ratings, except in cases that violate its terms of use.
- BIOMAS does not guarantee that the scores faithfully reflect the quality of the service, as they depend on the subjective perceptions of the users.
- In situations of “extreme necessity” (legal investigations or formal complaints), BIOMAS may access the complete history of opinions to collaborate with the authorities.
3.3. BIOSHOP: Platform of listings of flora and fauna products and services (In development)
BIOSHOP is a service in the development phase that will allow users to publish and manage listings related to animal and plant welfare, pet products, professional services and other related content. The following terms apply provisionally and are subject to modifications during the implementation.
3.3.1. Status of the service
BIOSHOP is in the design and planning stage. There is no functional version available for users. The visible page (“In development”) is merely informative and does not offer services, registrations or interactions.
3.3.2. Non-binding nature of the information
- Any description, graphic or functionality mentioned on the development page has an illustrative purpose. It does not constitute a launch commitment, nor a guarantee of future functionalities.
- BIOMAS reserves the right to modify the scope of the project at any time, without justification or responsibility toward the users.
3.3.3. Use of data during the development phase
- In case a form is enabled to receive updates about BIOSHOP, the data provided will be used exclusively to notify project progress.
- BIOMAS will not share this information with third parties nor use it for advertising purposes
3.3.4. Exclusion of liability
BIOMAS assumes no responsibility whatsoever for:
- Commercial decisions or investments made by users in anticipation of the launch of BIOSHOP.

4. GENERAL PROVISIONS OF SERVICES
The information collected has the purpose of protecting and promoting the responsible ownership of pets through follow-up functionalities: schedule management, sending of reminders, notifications and voluntary self-report surveys to the registered email.
4.1. Handling of adverse events
In cases of mistreatment, theft, loss or other situations that affect the integrity of a pet, the user must resort directly to the competent authorities or animal protection organizations according to local laws. BIOMAS does not intervene in these situations.

5. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF USERS
BIOMAS users assume the rights and duties established in the international animal welfare regulations, as well as in the responsible ownership rules applicable to the pets enrolled in the platform. By using BIOMAS, users declare to know and expressly accept these provisions.
5.1. Animal welfare rules
Users undertake to guarantee the following basic freedoms for their pets:
1. Freedom of feeding and hydration: Access to an adequate diet and fresh water.
2. Freedom of appropriate environment: A safe, clean space adapted to the needs of the species.
3. Freedom of good health: Prevention, diagnosis and timely treatment of diseases.
4. Freedom of emotional welfare: Avoid unnecessary stress, fear or distress.
5. Freedom to express their natural behavior: Allow manifestations proper to the species (socialization, exercise, etc).
5.2. Enrollment of animals
Users can enroll animals in the platform under their exclusive responsibility.

- - Exotic animals, those in danger of extinction or protected by law: Their enrollment is prohibited unless the user accredits legal ownership through official documentation.
- - Stolen animals: BIOMAS does not admit the enrollment of animals reported as stolen. If a case is identified, the offending user will assume all the legal consequences.

Users must use the BIOMAS platform in accordance with the current legislation and these Terms and conditions. It is strictly prohibited to:
1. Use the platform for purposes other than those established in these terms.
2. Modify, adapt or alter the platform in a way that affects its operation, design or original purpose.
3. Reproduce, copy or distribute content (data, documents, graphics, images, etc.) for commercial or profit purposes without express authorization.
4. Damage, interfere with or intercept systems, data or information of BIOMAS or of third parties linked to the platform.
5. Use devices, software or automated means to extract data, interfere in operations or illegally access BIOMAS accounts or databases.
6. Violate intellectual or industrial property rights over protected content (texts, images, logos, etc.).
7. Spread viruses, malware or malicious programs that compromise the security or integrity of the platform.
8. Overload or disable BIOMAS servers through activities such as denial-of-service attacks (DDoS).
9. Modify or distribute protected content without authorization from the rights holder or without legal protection.
10. Carry out actions that infringe the privacy or confidentiality of other users or professionals.
6.1. Consequences for non-compliance
- BIOMAS reserves the right to remove the offending user without prior notice.
- The user will assume all the legal and economic consequences arising from their actions.
- BIOMAS may remove any material that infringes these prohibitions.
7. ACCESS AND AVAILABILITY OF SERVICES
7.1. Free and paid services
BIOMAS offers pet identification and follow-up services free of charge, as well as paid products and plans. It is the user's responsibility to:
- Obtain access to the Internet and the devices (hardware), programs (software) or tools necessary to use the platform.
- Assume the costs associated with their connection and equipment.
7.2. Temporary suspension of the service
BIOMAS may temporarily suspend the services for reasons of maintenance, technical failures, power outages, fortuitous events or force majeure. The user accepts that BIOMAS will not be responsible for:
- Impossibility of access to the services.
- Loss or delay in obtaining information.
- Errors arising from problems in telecommunications, technical systems or external failures.
7.3. Authorized use
The platform is intended exclusively for personal use through computers, tablets, mobile phones or other enabled devices. It is prohibited to:
- Copy, modify, adapt, sell, distribute or alter the design or content of BIOMAS.
- Carry out reverse engineering, decompilation or deciphering of the platform.

BIOMAS reserves the right to display its own and third-party advertising within the platform, based on interests derived from the use of the services and non-sensitive data. The advertisements will appear identified as promotional content and do not imply endorsement by BIOMAS of third-party products or services.
8. SECURITY, PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY OF PERSONAL DATA
BIOMAS implements technical, administrative and legal measures to guarantee the confidentiality, integrity and protection of users' personal data. By using the platform, you accept that your data is managed in accordance with what is established in the Privacy Policy and in the applicable regulations.
8.1. Data protection
- We use encryption protocols and advanced security systems to safeguard the information during its transmission and storage.
- We limit access to personal data only to authorized personnel and professionals linked to specific services.
8.2. Confidentiality
The data provided by users is not shared with third parties without explicit consent, except for legal obligation and the purposes declared in the Privacy Policy.
8.3. Collection of technical data
For specific functionalities, BIOMAS may request access to the device's geographic location. This access will require explicit consent in each request and the user may disable it at any time through the configuration of their device or profile, although this will limit services dependent on geolocation.
8.4. Deletion of the user profile
The user can request the deletion of their account through an express request, as established in the Privacy Policy. After this process, the guardian's personal data is deleted from the platform, except for that which we must retain by legal or fiscal obligation, as established in the Privacy Policy. The profiles of the associated pets fully retain all their registry, clinical and identifying information to guarantee animal welfare.
Pet profiles cannot be deleted under any circumstances, but they can be hidden from the BIOiD Community upon the user's request. This policy preserves the medical history, identifying documents and essential records for its protection, in compliance with the principles of animal welfare. The information remains accessible to veterinarians and competent authorities in situations that affect the health or safety of the animal.
8.5. User rights
- Access, rectify or request the deletion of their personal data through a formal request.
- Revoke the consent for the use of their data at any time (except for information required for ongoing services).
8.6. Scope of the policy

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
BIOMAS is the exclusive holder of the intellectual property rights over the platform www.biomasweb.com, including its design, content, code, functionalities and associated documentation. By using the platform, the user declares to know and accept these rights, undertaking to respect them in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
9.1. Explicit prohibitions
Any unauthorized use of BIOMAS content is strictly prohibited, such as reproduction, modification, distribution or total or partial commercial exploitation, except with the express and written consent of BIOMAS. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to: the carrying out of reverse engineering, decompilation or alteration of the source code, as well as the imitation of designs or functionalities.
9.2. Trademarks and distinctive signs
All trademarks, trade names, logos and distinctive signs present on the platform are the exclusive property of BIOMAS. Access to or use of www.biomasweb.com does not grant the user any right over these elements.
9.3. Consequences for non-compliance
- Failure to comply with these provisions will make the user responsible for the damages caused to BIOMAS, which may suspend or delete their account and undertake the corresponding legal actions.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The use of the services offered on the BIOMAS platform is the exclusive responsibility of the user. BIOMAS will not be responsible under any concept for:

- Harm caused by the misuse of the platform (unauthorized commercial use, alteration of documents, etc.).
- Accuracy of certificates, opinions of professionals or information shared by other users.
- Interruptions of the service due to maintenance, server failures, cyberattacks or causes of force majeure.
10.1. Scope of BIOMAS
BIOMAS acts only as a technological intermediary. In no case will it be responsible for:
- Decisions made on the basis of information obtained on the platform.
- Services provided by BIOPRO professionals or transactions in BIOSHOP.
- Economic losses, moral damages or indirect harm related to the use of the services.
10.2. Legal compliance
The user undertakes to use the platform:
- In accordance with the current legislation, good customs and public order.
- Without illicit, fraudulent purposes or those that harm the rights of third parties.
- Using only the authorized access methods.
10.3. Indemnification
The user will indemnify and hold BIOMAS, its affiliates, employees and partners harmless for:
- Judicial or extrajudicial claims arising from the breach of these terms.
- Legal costs, fines or sanctions related to the use of the platform.
10.4. Validity of the digital records
The electronic records generated by the platform (activity logs, documents issued, transaction histories) will constitute sufficient proof of the operations carried out, being admissible in any legal proceeding.
